Yes, that’s right! We’re in the early stages o Yes, that’s right! We’re in the early stages of fighting Blue & Gold, an over 1,500 acre logging project in the Umpqua Watershed and Oregon Coast Range. The @blmoregonwashington says the forests in the project area range from 40-140 years old. Yet thorough WildCAT field checking efforts have that many of the stands are much older — with some groves reaching upwards of 600 years old. Tell the feds hell no! Regeneration harvest 🤢 The word “clearcut” Regeneration harvest 🤢 The word “clearcut” is almost never used by agency officials to refer to their own projects. “Regeneration harvest” is used instead as an easy way for agencies to mislead the public. The project proposes clearcutting old-growth forests in the Oregon Coast Range and Umpqua Watershed. Ring counts of individual trees in the areas proposed to be logged indicate that some of the trees are over 1,000 years old. SAY NO TO BLUE AND GOLD!
