Claire grew up in South Florida, catching lizards and watching storm clouds rumble over the water. She moved out West for university, graduating from Colorado College in environmental studies with minors in journalism and film. She specializes in combining her love for storytelling with environmental and outdoor activism. Before coming to Cascadia Wildlands, she dabbled in a gaggle of conservation and outdoor industry jobs. She considers herself an outdoor/ environmental journalist and still continues to freelance for national outlets covering the outdoors and the environment.
