Presenters will provide a brief overview of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and give participants a chance to draft comments based on templates provided.
BACKGROUND: Two large timber sales in Western Oregon are set to release their draft Environmental Assessments within the next few months: the Quartzville Middle Santiam (QMS) sale in the Willamette National Forest and the Blue and Gold sale in the Roseburg BLM district. With these large projects underway, it’s important that the public is prepped to write substantive comments.
