Cascadia Wildlands’ Hoedown for Ancient Forests!

2014 Hoedown

We’re bringing back the Hoedown, in all its glory! This 13th incarnation will feature live bluegrass by Moonlight Jubilee, square dancing with a caller, barn games, and boot kickin’ fun all at an incredible new location at the Rockin HK Barn in Veneta, OR. Rockin HK Barn is the perfect location for the return of this beloved event, and features extensive forested grounds available for camping! Camping is included with your admission.

Be a Hoedown sponsor! In return for supporting our work, we will promote your business alongside our event! More information about sponsorship here.

This is a family-friendly event, children 12 and under free!

Beer/cider available for purchase for those 21+.

What to Expect:

From 6-10pm we’ll enjoy local bluegrass and good old fashioned square dancing for novices and seasoned dancers. Bring your competitive spirit for some sack races, egg tosses, and fun barn games. Receive updates about Cascadia Wildlands’ work and hear stories about battles won and lost in our efforts to protect the wild places we all love.

Bluegrass at Cascadia Hoedown

This year, enjoy delicious fare available for purchase from local food carts: The Peaceful Palate and TBD.

After the square dance ends at 10:00 pm, we’ll move the party outside for some bonfire songs and rabble rousing. Stay the night with us and camp on the forest grounds!

Cascadia’s Hoedown was born back in the early 2000’s as a way to raise funds for forest defense and have a good time in the process. Each year, the Hoedown brought out community members in droves for some allemande left and do-si-doing, some hootin’ and hollering to celebrate Cascadia’s wild places. So bring your boots and your friends to join us for the return of Cascadia Wildlands’ Hoedown for Ancient Forests!
