    TODAY in Eugene: For #MLKDAY23 come and rally with TODAY in Eugene: For #MLKDAY23 come and rally with NAACP Eugene Springfield Oregon Unit 1119 for the "Back to the Streets: Resiliency and the Audacity of Joy"  celebration happening today, Monday, January 16th, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m

There will be a march starting at Autzen Stadium at 10:30 AM, followed by a community celebration at the Hult Center from 12-3:30 PM. Don't miss this community event!
    Conservation successes like the Flat Country timbe Conservation successes like the Flat Country timber sale recently getting withdrawn, the Eugene Water and Electric Board decision to decommission and remove aging Leaburg Dam on the McKenzie River, and enacting a durable conservation plan for the Elliott State Forest are due in great part to the incredible involvement of WildCAT (Cascadia Action Team) volunteers.
 
Join the next WildCAT meeting to get plugged into our vibrant advocacy work — there's something for everyone! The next WildCAT Wednesday meeting, typically held the first Wednesday of every month, will be on January 11 (TONIGHT!) in our office 120 Shelton Mcmurphey Blvd #250 (masks and negative covid tests strongly encouraged) and on Zoom at 6:00 pm (register on our website).
 
Expect an update on our current campaigns, dates for upcoming field checking trips, announcements from each other, and ways to plug in. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, email Madeline at madeline@cascwild.org.

    Yikes! 🫁 Over 12% of US childhood asthma can be Yikes! 🫁 Over 12% of US childhood asthma can be attributed to gas stove use, a breaking new study from @rockymtninst, @sydney_uni, and Einstein School of Medicine. This is similar to children’s asthma risk of being exposed to secondhand smoke.
