The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's Fish and Wildlife will be meeting October 5-6 in Olympia, Washington (see agenda here). On October 5, one of the topics will be the wolf management plan. This is an excellent opportunity for wolf supporters across the state to speak up for wolf recovery and also comment on Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's handing of the Wedge Pack tragedy. If you live in Washington and can attend, please do, and consider testifying. We want to ensure the commission hears loud and clear that livestock producers must utilize and experiment with a variety of non-lethal tools and wolf deterrents prior to lethal control authorization. Also, if you know folks in Washington who might be interested in attending, please spread the word about this important opportunty. Please let your voices be heard on wolf recovery—they cannot speak for themselves, so we must.
The meeting will be held at (please note this is a venue change to allow for a large audience):
Columbia Room, State Capital, Olympia, WA (click here for directions)
If you want to testify, you must arrive before 1:00 pm to register and sign up.
