For the very first time, TransPonder, Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, and Cascadia Wildlands are coming together to host the TransWild Forest Frolic on Sunday, September 10th from 11 am to 4 pm! This will be a day filled with family-friendly nature-based activities for all ages including nature walks, a scavenger hunt, camping 101 workshops, art tabling, and an Intro to Field Checking workshop.
We recognize that despite living in close proximity to amazing natural environments, many barriers still exist for queer, trans/gender-diverse, BIPOC, and/or disabled people to safely enjoy them. TransWild embraces the idea that nature is for everyone. Through this free event, we hope to create a safe and welcoming space for queer, trans, BIPOC, and disabled people to come together and delight in being outdoors.
